“I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further.”
- Darth Vader, Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
The Godfather is Wonderfactory Artist Seno Haryo's homage to his (abandoned) dark side. As a rebellious teenager growing up in Jakarta, Seno even seriously considered embarking on a career with the mafia, so that he could wear dark suits and sunglasses everywhere he went, and made decisions that everyone around him would have to agree with.
Seno captures the romanticised admiration towards mobsters shared by an entire generation that saw Mario Puzo's The Godfather, and marries it with the aesthetics of Star Wars, to project an indisputable image of power, authority and legacy. It has made this piece one of the most well-loved images within the global toy art community.
Production note:
Wonderfactory Artist Seno Haryo's The Godfather is what the printing industry regards as the most difficult type of image to print, because of its marvellous composition made up of different shades of black.
Wonderfactory is proud to state that our publishing technology will give you a stunningly sophisticated dark piece, yet full of details within the image, made possible by the latest printing technology with the richest inks
