An adventurous spirit, is a well travelled spirit.
This picture is Wonderfactory Artist David Saunder's tribute to the spirit of adventure, in his opinion most represented by the people who join the navy or become career sailors. They leave on each trip with no idea of the encounters they will have, or if they are equipped to deal with them, but yet he has never met a pessimistic sailor.
"Every time we have snow or when it drops below zero, my son and I always try and find some ice to smash. We came across this sheet of ice that had a perfectly sized hole just large enough for a Lego minifigure! The taking of this shot involved my son being constantly worried that the little figure would sink into the icy waters to drown and be lost for eternity. On a few occasions it nearly did, if not for the reflexes of my little boy who plucked it out of the water in time!
So the picture as presented here feels very much the result of a team effort. It was a great bonding session and a memory we would cherish for a long time."
