Aldo Farfán Fuentes

I don't think it's wrong for an adult to still play with his toys, I think it's wrong to not keep the imagination you had as a kid, alive.

Aldo Farfán Fuentes

Wonderfactory Artist, Mexico City, Mexico

Aldo Farfán (b.1983), is a graphics designer and photographer from Mexico City, with very rich professional experience in creative direction for many medium including book publishing and product packaging for pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

From young, Aldo had a certain passion towards the arts, obsessively hand drawing his favourite comic and movie characters and recreating scenes from the films he has seen, with toys and clothes created by himself with paper. This fondness for art and pop culture extended into his adulthood when he created his own characters and started thinking of ways to give them life, leading him ultimately to toy photography.

Aldo's creative process includes conversations with his figures, and photography as the expression of these conversations. His images are based on the play of lights, smoke and reflections, to portray his imagination of the toys' emotions. He regards himself fortunate for having this creative outlet, which he enjoys tremendously.
