Breaking the boundaries between fantasy and reality, that is my main aim as an artist. Marcus LinWonderfactory Artist, SingaporeMarcus Lin (b. 1983), is a professional photographer and video producer based in Singapore specialising in music, events and commercial photography. |
In 2013, Marcus discovered his first 1/6th scale figure from Hot Toys and was impressed with the quality and pose-ability of the figure and its accessories. It didn't take long for him to apply his love of photography to the figures to create realistic and immersive images, and he started to collect more scaled figures as subjects for his photography. Influenced heavily by his love of music, Marcus draws photographic inspiration from emotions ignited by his favourite songs, and has found a niche in creating melancholic images loved by like-minded fans. His love of toy photography continues to evolve, and of late, has seen him shifting to photographing 1/18th scale cars. When he's not behind his cameras, Marcus spends his time picking up after his cat, indulging in coffee and listening to his favorite records. Marcus continues to collect exclusive 1/6th scale figures, 1/18th scale model cars, and works on dioramas for his photography. |
