From a young age, Shahzad had a passion towards the arts, which saw him pursue a career as a singer and actor in musical theater for several years. While many things changed as time passed, his unbridled love for cinema and pop culture grew over the years, leading him ultimately to toy photography.  He considers it the most suitable outlet of expression for telling the many stories he conjures up in his extended bouts of day dreaming.

Shahzad's creative process includes reciting the stories he wants to tell, and then identifying the most photographic moment of the story and creating it. With portraits, he actually imagines what the characters feel when those certain moments occur to them.  He enjoys this process tremendously and developed himself to be regarded as one of the best toy portrait photographers in the community, with an uncanny ability to bring personality to the characters through their eyes.

His images are grounded in rich details, heavily featuring lighting and articulation techniques that often see him getting into various poses himself in front of the mirror. Shahzad is grateful for having discovered a creative outlet that he enjoys and for the success and recognition it has given him.
