Zahir took up toy photography as a hobby in 2012 after stumbling upon photos on Instagram, shared by thousands of photographers who shared his love for Star Wars toys. He started creating pictures of his toy figures and ships in the rural environment of his hometown, and quickly discovered the adulation they received from the toy-photography community. Zahir is passionate in his love of the Star Wars universe, and reinterprets it using his creativity, imagination and ingenuity to create life-like scenarios where his figures interact with one another in humorous, emotional and undeniably memorable scenes that we can all relate to. He is one of the first toy photographers in the world to establish a position in the art-collecting market with his work, where his prints have substantial financial value as art. |
