Check out the adventures created by Wonderfactory Artist Darryll Jones, who was born in South Africa and worked as a graphic designer in the packaging industry for over a decade, before migrating to the United Kingdom with his family in 2009.
Darryll used to work for a major retailer that had him shooting food and farmers all over the English country, and sometimes found himself trapped indoors by the English weather. It is during one of those trips that he accidentally created ‘Eric’ with a Hasbro 6-inch Stormtrooper figure, and over the years, has found a sizeable following on Instagram for his pictures and stories of Eric’s adventures.
Eric the trooper is now one of the most well-known toy characters on the internet, with fans from around the world following his travels and experiences on Instagram. Eric has also been engaged for commercial work in recent years by social media savvy companies such as Adobe, Bridgestone and Sigma.
Darryll now runs a photography studio with a partner, and specialises in visuals works for the drinks industry. In his spare time, Darryll enjoys time with his daughters and a cat named Pixi, he creates art in his studio and dabbles on the drums.
